This program provides seniors with opportunities to stay active and engaged in the community, enabling them to foster healthy and independent living. 55% of the senior participants belong to new immigrants’ class. The program continued to serve 35 to 50 senior participants throughout the year with structured health and fitness classes free of cost. A certified trainer leads the group in various exercises modified for the seniors’ age and health conditions. Healthy refreshments are served in each session. An outdoor field trip of seniors and youth was also organized to develop better understanding among the two groups.
