Humanity First is a humanitarian relief organization first incorporated in United Kingdom, in 1995. Humanity First provides aid to those affected by natural disasters and undertakes emergency relief operations around the world providing medical assistance, shelter, water, food, clothing and sanitation to affected populations. These have included the earthquakes in Haiti, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan and Iran, floods in Africa and Latin America, storms and tsunamis in the USA, Indonesia and Bangladesh, and conflicts in Eastern Europe.
Humanity First Canada is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 5 members and is regulated by Canadian incorporation by-laws. With over 1,200 volunteers, operations are administered and executed by executive directors, project coordinators and volunteers who are all Canadian citizens and are professionals from various walks of life.
Our mission is to serve disaster struck and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and families in the poorer communities of the world.

Humanity First Food Bank is located in the City of Vaughan operating 7 days a week to provide immediate assistance to the needy families across GTA. 70% of the recipients of this program are new immigrants/refugees and families sustaining on social services. Over 1300 families are registered with Humanity First receiving food support, clothing and school supplies.
Under this program, free food hampers (with food supplies for a month) are provided on a monthly basis to those families who struggle for the their daily sustenance. Most of these families have no means of transportation to come to the Food Bank, and thus monthly food hampers are delivered to their homes free of cost throughout the year.
Feed the Homeless:
Humanity First volunteers serve hot meals to homeless people in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

Homeless served every year in Toronto: 800 to 1000 people
Humanity First Canada supports children living in unfortunate socio-economic and familial circumstances to meet and exceed their academic potential by sending them to educational and recreational camps.
Humanity First provides a pair of eyeglasses to those who are in need of glasses, but have financial limitations; as long as this expense is not covered or funded by any other source.
This program provides seniors with opportunities to stay active and engaged in the local community, enabling them to foster healthy and independent living. Free counselling is also provided on social, familial and health related matters.
Regular classes in a style of group conversation are held by Humanity First volunteers for people with challenges in speaking English in the local community. Classes are held every week and are free of cost to the participants. These conversation sessions improves the speaking skills of participants in English language.
Humanity First sponsors refugees from abroad and settles them in Canada under the CIC Sponsorship Agreement Holder Program. Humanity First has successfully sponsored hundreds of refugees and has helped families start a new life in Canada.
Humanity First Settlement Committee is established to serve new immigrants with guidance and assistance in their early struggle of settlement in Canada. In addition, the community members who are affected by social, economic, and legal problems are also assisted through referrals, job search, and individual guidance sessions.
Humanity First also sponsors the “Run for Vaughan” charity run to raise funds for the future hospital in Vaughan, Ontario. This event is also supported by City of Vaughan and Region of York. Humanity First has teamed up with Run for Vaughan and other sponsors to help in building the much needed hospital in this area.
